If you ever come to Trollhufsa village, you will soon notice a big tree stump right by the forest grove. There you’ll find the village’s library, run by Sturla. At Sturla’s the trolls can find books on everything from troll spells to culinary arts. Of course, there are also reference books concerning how to handle hopeless and unmanageable humans and books on how to deal with elves and other strange creatures.(The trolls read these books only occasionally, since they believe in using one’s own discretion to handle such things.) Sturla is always to be found sitting deeply absorbed in one book or another. And he has a very exciting talent: with his tale he sprinkles troll dust over his books, causing them to begin to speak and tell him their stories.

The Longtail Troll familiy

The Longtail trolls are a particularly pleasant little family of trolls. They are produced also in Norway, in the same house like the NyForm trolls, from Polystone (mixture from resin und marble).
They live in hollow trees, mountain hidey-holes and mossy tussocks, deep in the woods where the mist forms a mysterious blanket over the tree roots and heather. The Longtail trolls are small, with bristly, sticky-up troll hair – and long, beautiful tails. Now you’ll hear it said that trolls can’t stand the sun, and instantly turn to stone. But that’s not the case with the Longtail trolls! Every day they drink a magic herbal potion, so that they can prance around in the sun as much as they wish.
Apart from that, the Longtail trolls are just like most other trolls. They spend their time trolling, finding treasure and in between – they help the folk living on the farms thereabouts. That is – of course – without them knowing anything about it! Trolls prefer not to come face to face with humans, because they have a curious habit of tricking the trolls and taking their treasure, which the trolls – funnily enough – aren’t too happy about.   The Longtail trolls have very different and special personalities – plus rather unusual, magical talents.
